Commission - Design Deposit
After initially enquiring about a personal commission, the Design Deposit covers my work for the next steps:
assessment of your sentimental textiles for suitability of use and repairs required (this can be done with photos but is best submitted by post)
sourcing of additional fabrics and materials
designing multiple options for the finished piece
You will receive the design options (sketches, swatches of fabric, sizes, etc.), then confirm your chosen design, and agree to a balance payment for the making of the piece. The total price of any commission will depend on size, techniques used, materials required, and any other cost associated with its making and delivery. This deposit will go toward the overall price, and a balance payment (price minus deposit) will be due before the commencement of work on the finished piece.
If you do not wish to proceed with the commission after this design process, any textiles you submitted will be carefully returned to you by registered post. This is a non-refundable deposit.
